For light and Shadows we used soft boxes to create lighter and darker  photos, We also did this to make the shadows a lot harder in some photos or a lot softer. 

The first photo is showing hard lighting because the shadow is a lot harsher and darker.

the forth photo(one in the middle) is showing soft lighting because the shadow is not as dark; its grey and it kinda fades from grey to white.
