Edward Weston

My first impressions were that the texture of it was smooth at the top and start to go harder, stiff towards the bottom.

It has leading lines that lead me to the dark background, this photo makes me feel depressed and sad because the photo is black and white and the leaf looks really unhappy because its all alone. The photo is taken in a studio using soft artificial lighting coming from the top back in the middle.

I like this photo because it looks and seems very complex and different, its not a simple, straight forward photo which i like.

My first impression is that it has a lot of depth of field; the front of the shell is in focus and the focus starts to fade out towards the back.The photo also has a lot of detail to it; you can see all the little crevasse and lines on the shell. This photo makes me think of the beach and prints an image in my head, it makes me feel happy but sad at the same time. There are leading lines in this photo also, the lines go from the front to that back and fade into darkens. this photo was taken in a studio with artificial lighting, that created the hard shadow.

My first impression on this photo is that it is very detailed; you can see all the little details and crevasses, This photo makes me feel lost and confused because the onion looks like it has a lot of ways to go. I chose to edit this photo because it is my spin off the onion halved photo and i wanted to see what my version of that looked like.

I edited this photo by turning it black and white, putting the brightness down and adding more contrast. I was hoping to achieve an Edward Weston inspired photograph.

I chose to edit this photo because i think it is different and i wanted to experiment with what it would look like, and i think the content of this photo is very good as well.

I edited this photo because i think it looks different and unique, the object i used looks very detailed as well.

When i edited it i turmed it black and white and put the brightness up.

I was hoping to achieve and even more unique photo.

I think this photo lookes better then before because the black and white shows more detail of the object and i think it lookes more appling.

I have edited this photo because i wanted to see how close to the orignal Edward Weston shell photo i could get.

I edited this by changing it to black and white putting the contrast down and putting the brightness down as well.

I was hoping to achieve a photo that i am proud of, and that i wanted to show off to friends.
